Amy Hoyt

Amy Hoyt is a scholar of gender and religion, with particular emphasis on religions in North America. Amy teaches at University of the Pacific in the Religious and Classical Studies department. She received her PhD from Claremont Graduate University, where she helped found the Mormon Studies Council. Amy’s current research interests include reconceptualizing feminist theory, masculinity within Mormonism, and examining the rituals of parenting as a religious expression.
